If your internet is not working or not connecting try these first.


1. Check Basic Connections

  • Ensure your modem and router are plugged in and powered on.

  • Check for loose cables or damaged wires.

  • If using Wi-Fi, confirm you're connected to the correct network.

2. Restart Your Devices

  • Power off and unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds, then plug them back in.

  • Restart your computer or device.

3. Check for an Outage

  • Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or check their website for service outages.

4. Verify Wi-Fi Connection

  • Try moving closer to the router.

  • Restart your router if Wi-Fi is slow or intermittent.

  • Connect using an Ethernet cable to check if Wi-Fi is the issue.

5. Check Your Internet Speed

  • Use a speed test website (e.g., Speedtest.net) to check your connection speed.

  • If speed is much slower than expected, contact your ISP.
